鼋头渚樱花谷是中国规模最大的樱花种植基地，30000余株樱花在3月中旬左右竞相开放。小路弯弯，落英点点，樱花飘飘。樱花谷建有赏樱楼、蹑云阁、繁英轩、簇春桥等建筑。是人们踏青赏樱和开展友好交流活动的好地方。

樱花谷是比较受欢迎的一个观赏景点，樱花盛开时，它们像云朵一样美丽。花期一般在3月中旬盛开。它的花期很短，只有15天的寿命。

以日本樱花、山樱花、垂枝大叶早樱和红花高盆樱4种为主。微风吹来，枝叶微摇，樱花大道上的樱花花瓣慢慢飘落，好似仙女撒花，又如白色或粉色的琉璃缓缓飘落，飘向四方带给大家一场花的盛宴。

樱花谷位于无锡市郊著名的鼋头渚景区内，是一座免费开放的园中园，植被丰茂，景色宜人。
