Chongqing University is referred to as "Major" and is directly under the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China. It is a key national university jointly built by the Ministry of Education, Chongqing City and the National Defense Science, Technology and Industry Bureau. It ranks as the national "double first-class", "211 project" and "985 project". It is located in the center of Shapingba District, Chongqing City. There are multiple campuses.

Chongqing University Town is quite beautiful, but the location is a bit biased. It is in the west of Chongqing, about 15 kilometers from the city center. It is backed by the Xiufeng of Jinyun Mountain and overlooks the beautiful scenery of Gele. The terrain is flat, the trees are green, and the mountains and rivers are convenient. You must go to Chongqing University when you come to Chongqing, and there is a lot of history inside. The engineering college is all made of stone. In the winter of the 14th year (1925), Li Kui'an, the president of the Baxian Proceedings Conference, put forward a bill and proposed to organize Chongqing University.
