Very traditional part of Shanghai, with beautiful buildings and old shops. There are some restaurants around with affordable food.

Exploring the City God Temple in Shanghai is a captivating immersion into the city's rich cultural heritage and spiritual tradition. As I stepped through the ornate gateways and into the bustling complex, I was enveloped by the sights, sounds, and scents of centuries-old rituals and reverence.The temple's intricate architecture, adorned with vibrant colors and intricate carvings, evokes a sense of awe and reverence for the centuries of worship that have taken place within its sacred walls.

Interesting temple in the middle of the city. Traditional chinese architecture and a great place for a short visit. It can get busy on holidays but it's manageable.

This is my first time coming here. Before, I was very excited and looking forward to trying this place once. It really didn't disappoint me because it was so beautiful and fun. Truly unforgettable, this place will forever impress me. The people here are very friendly and sociable, which is very valuable. I love this place and hope to come back many times in the future.
