Lake Dawes is an artificial lake in downtown Ottawa, connected to the Lido Canal, on the west side of Bronson Avenue, and on the south side of the lake is Carlton University. The lake is a natural ice rink in winter and can take skating courses. In summer, you can rent a boat and a family can wander leisurely in the water. The lakeside is also one of the three main venues of the Ottawa Tulip Festival in May. There are dozens of varieties and hundreds of thousands of tulip flowers.
