Located three miles south of Downtown, the Dallas Zoo has more than 2,000 species of animals, including all the most popular sloths, chimpanzees, lions, elephants, camels, zebras, hippos and giraffes. Founded in 1888, the 106-acre zoo is not only the oldest and largest zoo in Texas, but also one of the only ten zoos in the United States that can hold koala exhibitions. There are countless stale koala circles.
