Buddha palm sand dunes are located on the north bank of the Yarlung Zangbo River, near the Yarlung Zangbo Grand Canyon, and are named after the Buddha palms that are like two hands. Because the dunes are located in the middle and lower reaches of the Yarlung Zangbo River, the wind is like a hurricane during the late autumn to the end of spring, the sand on the river bed before and after the dunes are exposed due to the dry water period, and they are blown and transported year after year and accumulated, which forms this special landscape. Visiting by the way from Lhasa to Nyingchi Road, not bad.
