During the years of Wuze Tianchang'an (701-704), Wuzetian and Wang Gongshiqian were rebuilt to 10 floors, and only 7 floors were left after the fire. After the five generations of Tang Changxing (930-933), Xijing stayed in the Anzhongba and then repaired it. After the alternating fighting of Jinyuan, the monastery was destroyed and the tower was only left. The 32nd year of Ming Wanli (1604) was added to the decoration, and it has been passed down to this day. The tower is originally named Cien Temple Tower, and later named the tower according to the legend of Indian Buddhism recorded in the "Tatang West". The Big Wild Goose Pagoda is called the Big Wild Goose Pagoda to distinguish it from the small Wild Goose Pagoda of Jinfu Temple. The Big Wild Goose Pagoda is a memorial building for the westbound search for law and the translation of the scriptures from the country. It has important historical value. In 1961, the State Council of the People's Republic of China announced it as a key cultural relics protection unit in the country.
