It is the largest synagogue in Europe and the second largest in the world (the largest in New York, USA). The church was built in 1859 and was designed by Frigyes Feszl with Roman Romanesque and Moorish architectural elements and can accommodate 3,000 people. Behind the church is a Jewish museum, temples for heroes, Holocaust memorial trees and a cemetery.
