Dunwigan Castle is the oldest inhabited castle in Scotland and has been the centre of the McLeod family for nearly 800 years. The original design was designed to ban people from entering and was first opened to visitors in 1933. Since then, Dunvegan has been rated one of the best tourist attractions in Scotland and supports the local economy in the northwestern Skye. Tickets are small and the garden is beautiful!
