Aibi Lake is the largest salt water lake in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. Mongolian is called Aibi Er, Aibi means the sun, Aibi means the lake, Aibi Lake is the lake of the sun. Located 35 kilometers north of Jinghe County, the west is adjacent to the North Xinjiang Railway Jinghe to Alashankou Section, 35 kilometers northward, that is, to Alashankou, to the east is the Ganjia Lake Susuolin Nature Reserve. Aibi Lake is the largest lake in the Junggar Basin and the largest saltwater lake in Xinjiang. The Bortala River, Jing River and Kuitun River, respectively from the west, south and east of the three directions into the lake, become the main source of the lake water. The lake is elliptical, covering an area of 650 square kilometers, with an average depth of 2-3 meters, and the lake is 189 meters above sea level.
