Although the ice cream was not bad, the attitude of the servers range from ambivalent to downright rude. We had bought ice cream from the counter and since my toddler was dripping ice cream I seated him at one of many empty tables across. Soon a waitress appeared to take our order. When we said we were just having ice cream she nodded disapprovingly and made a finger gesture to leave!! We ordered coffee and stayed meanwhile, other people were informed the icecream was just for take away. It looks like they take pleasure in shooing people away else they could easily place a board at the counter.



I really enjoyed my afternoon at La Perla. It has a lovely setting on Paul's Platz under the cathedraland a good vibe. The food is okay, pretty decent actually and the service is good. There is a decent selection of beers as well. For me, it was just a lovely place to relax in the sun and enjoy a cold beer.

We had breakfast here two mornings as it is next to the Xmas market. Typically for Germany we only felt tolerated rather than welcomed though the food was ok.
