The Erqi Strike Monument Tower is a famous landmark of Zhengzhou, which is located right in the city center and is only one stop away on the subway from the busy Zhengzhou railway station. In order to commemorate the Erqi Strike that shocked the whole country on February 7, 1923, the government decided to build a memorial tower to commemorate the Erqi Strike in the central area of Zhengzhou, in memory of Lin Xiangqian and other railway workers who went on strike for their rights. There were eight exhibition halls in the memorial tower, which recorded the details of strikes by railway workers.
