Fujin City is located in the northeast of Heilongjiang Province, on the south bank of the lower reaches of Songhua River. It is the central city in the hinterland of Sanjiang Plain. The total area of the whole area is 8,227 square kilometers, and the population is 46.9 million (2013). Fujin is a national open port city with railways, roads and waterways.
