Fukushiyama Review

Easy to find on rue la Fayette near Cadet station. Gives the impression of a Japanese sushi restaurant, but is not the real thing (on basis of many years spent in Japan). The staff did not understand Japanese, and the sign for the WC was in Chinese – bit of a giveaway. The fish in the sashimi and sushi was of average quality, the sushi rice alright but far too much of it in proportion to the fish. A major error was that the rice in side bowl was not Japanese, but ?Thai. The wine brought was not the Muscadet sur Lie on the list, but ordinary Muscadet; and no bottle cooler. Service in general was indifferent. A filling meal at an okay price (€64 for two inc wine), but real sushi it was not.
