Ginza Onodera Review

Had dinner here with colleagues on business trip. To be honest, it was one of the most special dining experiences of my life. Although the price was high, it was worth the money. The food tasted great - Kobe beef and mustard, garlic melted in your mouth and they staged a wonderful show. We were all impressed by the chef's skill. Every dish was beautifully presented.

A stylish modern basement Japanese restaurant with a relatively short menu, focused on sushi and sashimi. The prices are rather eye-watering but the ingredients are of the highest quality and the preparation and presentation are immaculate.

Didn’t have any beer. Didn’t have the wine we wanted, our waitress didn’t have a clue. 50 mins before we were served a drink. Then made a huge error on the bill

We were disappointed with our meal, we were doing the set menu and 2 of the 4 diners wanted the meat (rump) option but were forced to take the sirloin as the rump was "not available" this meant a £90 !! surcharge for a few tiny slices of extremely greasy meat, which hours after, still left a horrible greasy taste in the mouth. We found the seating uncomfortable with the benches too far away from the table so that all four of us had to perch on the edge of the bench to reach our food.

the food is really fresh. All the staffs are well-mannered. The servicing time between each dish is a bit long, though.

Way over rated. I’m best comment is street food level of quality and price of a Michelin star restaurant. The whole restaurant is too hot, so sashimi get warm quickly. Also the portions are way too small than industry standard. This place doesn’t not show authentic appreciation of Japanese food, rather it is show house business for those who have not had proper Japanese food.S
