Dongwangyang Fort, also known as Songshan Fort, is located at the highest point of the Macao Peninsula and was built in the seventeenth century. There is a small sacred church on the fort, named Notre Dame Snow Temple Church. There is also a lighthouse built by a Portuguese native of Macau. There are telescopes beside the lighthouse for visitors to overlook the city. Dongwangyang Fortress is part of Macau's historic block. Typhoon signals can also be seen near the fort. Whenever the wind blows, the Meteorological Bureau will hang the corresponding typhoon signal sign, the balloon, on the fort to remind Macao citizens to be ready. The 100 Mop denomination coin is printed with the white lighthouse pattern of Dongwangyang. Macau's scenic spots are basically open, no tickets, very valuable!
