Gyangze Review

Jiangyan is an ancient city with a history of more than 1,000 years, built a city earlier than Shigatse, since ancient times is an important communication between Tibet and Tibet, a large town. Jiangyan County is part of Shigatse City, Tibet Autonomous Region, located in southern Tibet, east of Shigatse City, upstream of Nianchu River. Jiangyan is one of the famous national historical and cultural cities and a new tourist town. Zongshan, located in the center of the county, is both a historical witness of the heroic resistance of the Jiangyan people against the British invaders and the only preserved site of the old Tibetan government building today. Baiju Temple, located in the western suburbs of the county, was built in 1418 and is the only temple where the three major Tibetan Buddhist denominations gather in one temple, and the "100000 Buddha Pagoda" is the only pagoda in Tibetan Buddhism. The Parannon slave owner's manor, 2 kilometers away from the county seat, is the only manor fully preserved in the eight noble manor houses of the old Tibet. The famous Naqin Kangsang Snow Mountain (one of the four snowy mountains in central Tibet), the mountain is majestic, the top is pointed cone, and the snow between the slopes and ditches has developed many glaciers throughout the year. The main peak is 7,191 meters above sea level, and the front edge of the ice tongue of the Kazola glacier is 5,560 meters above sea level. The minimum ice height rises and falls slightly with the temperature changes every year. The meltwater of the Kazola glacier is the eastern source of the Nianchu River. Naiqin Kangsang Snow Mountain is a collection of glacier relics, is the most accessible continental ice and snow activity center on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau.
