Hanauma Bay, also known as Hanauma Bay, is a circular ocean harbor formed in the volcanic cone, located on the southeast coast of Oahu, near Honolulu. The so-called dinosaur refers to a ring formed in the tuff ring. Dinosaur Bay, including its beaches and surrounding natural parks, is named "Hanauma" from two Hawaiian languages: "hana" means bay, "uma" means curved. For the native Hawaiians, Hanauma is part of their history; there are many legends of the arc bay. The arc bay was a great fishing area, and the royal family used to fish and entertain in the bay in the 19th century. Today, Hanama Bay is one of the three major tourist attractions on Oahu, with an average of about 3,000 visitors a day.
