Yesterday I visited the former residence of President Franklin • D• Roosevelt. The cemetery of the President and his wife is very simple, a white stone carved tombstone and two tombs. President Roosevelt was planted with an American flag, surrounded by a rose garden, neatly planted with different varieties of roses. It was early spring, and the flowers were not yet open, but there was a greenhouse next to the cemetery, where roses were blooming all year round. Roses were the state flowers of New York, and Roosevelt was the 44th governor of New York
