Lhagang Grassland Review

Tagong, located 113 kilometers northwest of Kangding City, has an average elevation of 3730 meters. The Sichuan-Tibet Highway passes by. Since Kangding, it travels westward along the Sichuan-Tibet Railway, crosses the winding mountains and northwards after crossing the Xindu Bridge to Data Gong Temple. Rivers, grasslands, forests, mountains, temples, Tibetan houses and rich Tibetan customs along the line constitute the scenic spot. The main contents of Tagong Scenic Area are the towering Yala Snow Mountain, the rolling grassland and the magnificent "Muya Jingta" on the grassland. Tagong Temple, with its full name "Yiyi Jiefang Temple at first sight", is one of the famous temples of Sakya Sect of Tibetan Buddhism. It has a history of more than 1,000 years and is one of the holy places for Tibetan people to worship in Kangba area. There is a Sakyamuni statue which is the same as Dazhao Temple in Lhasa. Legend has it that Princess Wencheng went to Tibet on her way to build a statue of Sakyamuni in Lhasa to remain in the temple. Because of the extremely special and peculiar relationship between the two, it is called Xiao Dazhao Temple. The temple also contains the footprints left by King Basibafa, the emperor of the courtyard grass, under the stones. The achievement pagoda built by Indian great achievers is a thousand-handed and thousand-eyed Avalokitesvara. As well as a large number of expensive Buddhist relics.
