Lili was once famous for Lihua Village, also known as Wuhu Lake. Lili was a village in Tang Dynasty. It became a market in the Southern Song Dynasty. It was upgraded to Jiangnan Town during the Ming Dynasty. Lili Town is located in Wujiang District, Suzhou City. It is a typical ancient town in Jiangnan with a better preserved history dating back 2,500 years. The river is crisscrossing, the lake is densely covered, and the soil is fertile. The ancient town area has more than 160,000 square meters of buildings in the Ming and Qing Ding Republic, and the city river is distributed in a "D" shape. Lili Ancient Town is also the hometown of famous patriotic democrats and poet Liu Yazi. There is a national cultural relics protection unit Liu Yazi Memorial Hall in the town, and many Chinese and foreign people visit it every year.
