Longyang Gorge is located in the upper reaches of the Yellow River in Gonghe County, Qinghai, 1,684 kilometers from the birthplace of the Yellow River, and 3,376 kilometers from the mouth of the Yellow River into the sea. It is the first canyon of the Yellow River Canyon area after the Yellow River passes through the Qinghai Prairie. The "Longyang" is Tibetan, that is, the meaning of the trench valley, and the mouth is only 30 meters wide. The canyon is 33 kilometers long, and the hard granite two walls are erected nearly 200 meters high. It is a great dam site for building hydropower stations. In 1976, the country decided to build the Longyangxia Hydropower Station. The dam site was chosen at this gorge. The hydropower builder added a professional term "gorge" after "long sheep". I have the title today.
