Frankfurt, formally known as Frankfurt Main, is the fifth largest city in Germany and an important industrial, commercial, financial and transportation center in Germany and Europe. It is located in the western part of Germany in Hessen, and is located in the lower reaches of the Mein River, a tributary of the middle Rhine River. Frankfurt is located on the right bank of the Maine River, near the junction of the Maine River and the Rhine River, on the great plain south of Mount Taonus. The city centre and inner city are on the North Bank of the Maine River. Many bridges on the Maine River connect the inner city with the suburban Saxonhausen area. From Frankfurt to the beautiful Rhine River, the emerald green land surrounds the ancient castle ingeniously, making us seem to have entered the mysterious fairy tale world!
