When the Ming Dynasty was called Wenchang Palace, it was a place for worship of Wenchang Emperor. It was renamed Maoer Hutong from the Qing Dynasty. This hutong is also a bit of a head, of which Keyuan is one of the most representative private gardens in Beijing, and Wanrong's former residence.
