In 1958, the army was evacuated, and the affiliated hospital of Suzhou Medical College occupied a large part, and it was planned to destroy the garden plant. In the same year, the National Cultural Relics Bureau, Tongji University Chen Congzhou and the Municipal Garden Management Office came to investigate and strive to repair it. In April, the garden management office took over, moved out of the hospital and 8 households, allocated 40,000 yuan for repair. In October, work began to renovate the moon to Fenglai Pavilion, built a new ladder cloud room and the courtyard of the place, separated the western inner courtyard by a wall, and added Hanbiquan, Cold Spring Pavilion, etc., equipped with furniture and furnishings. The park also uses the Fadaitang, which is adjacent to Yuantong Temple in the east. It opened in September 1959. At the beginning of the Cultural Revolution, the park was renamed Friendship Park and closed for a while. The furniture and the couplets were damaged. It was reopened and re-named after a little repair in 1974. The Farutang and the courtyard were expanded to "Cloud Grottoes" in 1981.
