The Tengchong Yao Palace was built tomorrow, six years (1626 AD) by medical people. In the end of Qing Kangxi, the building was expanded through the abbot, Weng Pei, to make the building plan a gourd shape. The palace is not only well-designed, but also unique in architecture, and is an important witness to the long history of Tengchong Chinese medicine industry. It is really exciting to keep such a complete classical courtyard in modern architecture. The medicinal materials in the pharmacy are genuine, and there is a health medicine restaurant in the hospital. Unfortunately, every time I come here, I don’t have a chance to taste it.
