Military Community Culture Center Review

In Kaohsiung for the last half day, we went to the Yucun Cultural Center in Zuoying District. After the Spring Festival, there are no tourists here and it is free. It was rebuilt from the early Haishengli Activity Center. The items, photos, etc. displayed here are reminiscent of the life scene of the year, but they can't go back anymore, and they are infinitely emotional. The museum is closed on Monday. There is a direct bus. Not far from the park.

The so-called village of Yu, which was the military village that arrived in Taiwan from the mainland, seems to have not many people living in such villages now. Most of them are historical exhibitions or transformed into art villages. The visit is also very good.

The Yucun Cultural Center is an old village left over. It is now designated as a scenic spot. Many people come to visit and check in; Yucun and the 101 building, an ancient village, a modern landmark, are very close and adjacent, very interesting.

Kaohsiung Zuo Battalion is the main base of the National Army and Navy, and the main gathering place of Yucun. The village was the retreat of the Kuomintang government to Taiwan, with the army to Taiwan together with the military, retired from the government to get the residence, the cultural museum faithfully recorded the life scene of the residents of the village and the real picture of the cultural background at that time. Friends interested in modern history and cross-strait relations are worth a visit. We don’t need to comment on politics, but some people’s real lives are indeed profoundly affected, and it is worth caring and understanding, and it will be a rich experience to feel the multiculturalism deeply through travel.

In Kaohsiung's Zuoying District, Guishan Lane is located in such a village cultural museum, trying to preserve the culture of the village, so that future generations can understand and remember the historical changes of the village. I have visited several village sites across Taiwan, and I have some understanding of the origin of village and the life of village, but I have visited this cultural museum and saw many of the real things of village life, Peking Opera ticket friends room, village residents and letters from the mainland, etc., and I am still very impressed. People everywhere in China will bring home customs wherever they go.

The Yucun Cultural Center is a place that makes us particularly interested, because our textbooks for this part of the history have not been introduced, and the mainland TV programs have not seen it. A family village in the close-up period is impressive.
