Japanese food has long been put down in Japan, except for kaiseki cuisine, but it is really expensive elsewhere. But this is quite authentic, not bad.

This the only place in Bangkok that serve a good real tempura. All other japanese restaurant, no matter how expensive, do not serve a real tempura. For those who had vist a Tempura Restaurant in Japan probably know that it's a specialty place that serve only tempura. Misata is that kind of place in Bangkok, probably the only one. They serve all tempura menu, with some sushi. The shrimp tempur is superb, you won't have another go at tempura at another japanese restaurant in Bangkok again. Oh, they also serve tonkatsu, very good as well. I would say this is a real Japanese restaurant, from the chef to visitors. More than half of the guest are Japanese. Don't miss if you love tempura.

If you are looking for good tonkatsu, you'd be more satisfied heading to Katsushin. Nevertheless, the service was efficient so it's a good place for business lunch.
