The Unknown Soldiers Memorial is located in front of the Greek Parliament building and was built in 1928 to commemorate the unsung Greek heroes who died in the war to escape Turkish rule. The monument is decorated with reliefs of unnamed soldiers, engraved on both sides of the reliefs, inscribed with two famous words of the famous Greek philosopher Pericles of the 5th century BC. The unnamed soldiers are guarded by guards wearing national costumes on the left and right sides of the monument, which is handed over every hour.
