The Mranj Mountains are in the Mranj district of southeast Malawi. At the highest point in the country, various distinctive landscapes are formed due to erosion. There are many lakes and rivers. Many mountain streams merge into the Ruo River and Lake Chilwa. The soil is red soil, and the densely grown small broad-leaved forest has a good environment.
