I was aware of the atrocities Pinochet's dictatorship had inflicted on the Chilean people, but I wasn't ready when my name and face appeared before my eyes, and how I felt. It was a necessary visit to understand the difficulties these people had endured in recent times. Ending in 1990, I was in my 20s, I remember activism on the stairs of Sydney Town Hall. I was overwhelmed with emotion. We will never forget.
