Nanxiang Ancient Town Review

One very interesting point is that there is a back door of the nearby residents' homes open in the garden. You can see the residents cooking and stopping the bicycles, and the whole garden has become the private garden of these families after the attractions are closed. It’s not too beautiful, you have to wake up with a smile when you think about it.

Nanxiang Ancient Town covers a relatively small area. It is located in Nanxiang New Town, Jiading District, Shanghai. The main points are Nanxiang Temple, Twin Towers, Nanxiang Ancient Street, Gion, etc. Basically, 2 to 3 hours is enough to play.

The relatively small ancient town scenic spot is not crowded on weekdays, and the old street parking lot and the surrounding roadside can be parked. First, I visited Yunxiang Temple on a large scale. It was originally built as Nanxiang Temple of the White Crane (Liang Tianjian for four years). It was named Nanxiang because of the temple. The Nanxiang twin towers at the intersection of the street were built in the fifth generation period and are also one of the symbols of the ancient town. The garden is to collect tickets, and there are some stone bridges, ancient wells, and Shanmen ruins to see. The old street is relatively small and not very long, there are many shops along the street, and several restaurants known as the century-old store sell the famous Nanxiang Xiaolong.

经典古镇，不错。

疫情后第一次到南翔古镇老街，依旧充满了烟火气，从古漪园路走过来，非常方便，老街不长，可能因为疫情，只留了一条主干道通行，有些地方拦住了，双塔夜景还是很漂亮的，小吃摊头人头攒动，点份小笼包，买点小吃，还有秋天的桂花糖炒栗子，伴着桂花香，很满足的晚上…

南翔古名槎（chai）溪。南朝梁天监四年（505年），建白鹤南翔寺，逐依寺成镇，取名南翔。南翔古镇以南翔老街为主体，加以修缮和扩建而成。古镇里面的老建筑以清代民居为主，也有几条小河穿镇而过。除了国内古镇景区常见的餐馆和土特产商店，南翔古镇还有云翔寺、檀园、双塔等古迹，颇有历史和人文底蕴。
