The Nikko-jirato Yamashima Shrine is located in Nikko-jira, adjacent to the Nikko-Toshio Palace. It was a shrine established by the Satoshi in the 790s, during the Nara period. The shrine is a traditional and ancient religious building in Japan, mainly used for sacrifices to the gods. The Nikko Erhuangshan Shrine is also an ancient building in Japan, and some of the buildings of Nikko Erhuangshan Shrine were included in the World Heritage Site by the United Nations in December 1999.
