The Royal Naval Academy, because it is located on the Thames at the foot of the Greenwich Observatory Hill, also known as the Royal Naval Academy of Greenwich, is a large ancient complex. The ancient Naval Academy complex was first built as a palace of the King in 1635, and was converted into a nursing home for wounded soldiers during the Anglo-French War, and the Royal Naval Academy was established in 1871, and still trains junior and intermediate officers of the Royal Navy to this day.
