We were in Poble Espanyol looking for a restaurant that wasn't a tourist trap that serves only fried food. We happened down the alleyway where Patio Cordobes is located. After looking at the menu, we (us and our three young kids) decided to give it a try. The food was very good and very reasonably priced. The ensalada andaluza (potato salad topped with tuna), garden salad, roasted seasonal vegetables, spring chicken, lamb stew, marinated tomatoes, spinach fritters, and meatballs with peas were all excellent. For dessert we shared a fruit salad, which was homemade and delightfully unsweetened. The cost for the above, along with 2 litres of water was about eur55.00. It was easily some of the best food we had during our two week stay in Barcelona. The waiters were great and we were very happy with the whole evening!
