Peace Memorial Park - Hiroshima Review

Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park is located in the center of Hiroshima City Street, at the junction of Yuanananchuan and Benchuan. The Park was built to commemorate the atomic bombing of Hiroshima on August 6, 1945. At 8:15 a.m. on August 6, 1945, an atomic bomb exploded 580 metres above Hiroshima, Japan. Suddenly, after a strong blue flash, the whole city became a hell on earth... Seventy years later, today's Hiroshima has been rebuilt from the ruins of war. Walking into the Peace Memorial Park, the first thing you can see is an abandoned building in the Peace Park, namely the original explosion point dome. That pile of ruins and ruins in the bright blue sky, more ancient and desolate. This is the only building that survived the atomic bomb explosion. It is now built as a peace monument for future generations to see. The Chien-feather Crane Monument is called the image of the son of the original explosion by the local people. At the top of the long circle monument stood a statue of a little girl. With a large paper crane in her hands, she gazed forward in the bright sunshine at a solemn pace, expressing her desire for peace. The original exploded comfort monument on the square. It was a saddle-shaped monument with a large stone box in the center, containing the names of the victims of the original explosion. At the end of 1984, the stone box was replaced by a larger one, because the original stone box could no longer contain the new names. The box was engraved with a sentence: Rest in peace, the mistakes of the past will not be repeated. The Peace Memorial is a long building. Visitors can listen to the introduction and watch the exhibition. The Memorial exhibits documents, relics, pictures and some models of the time, illustrating the huge disasters caused by the original explosion. These items were furnished according to what happened at that time, as if they had reproduced the terrible experience of that time. One of the models shows Hiroshima in the ruins with a vision, which is breathtaking: in a flash of fire, three worn-out and badly injured victims are confused, dragging their heavy feet and wondering where to go... The model is based on the descriptions of some survivors.
