Little France is located in Strasbourg, where the Ile River splits into many canals, crossing a small area full of medieval wooden trusses and baroque architecture. Because it was occupied by the Germans, the city architecture is more like German Bavarian architecture. The area was completely destroyed during World War II and rebuilt after the war. It was listed on the World Heritage List in 1988.
