The Royal Square is adjacent to Lambra Avenue and constitutes a famous tourist attraction. There are many restaurants and some of the most famous clubs in the city, including Sidecar, Jamboree and Karma. It is also known for its many outdoor areas. It is a popular gathering place in summer. In September, an open-air concert is held on St. Merc's Day (La Merc &2); while in other festivals, such as New Year's Eve, it is often very crowded. The square was designed by Casamaj in the 19th century, it was twin brothers with Galiporti Square in Mexico City. Street lamps are designed by Anthony Gaudi.
