Poring Hot Springs was a rejuvenating escape into nature’s embrace. The calming ambiance and the therapeutic warmth made it a perfect retreat in the heart of Sabah.

It looks like a hot spring dug up by the Japanese army during World War II. I was surprised that the scent of sulfur was also firm! I'm glad I was able to adjust the heat and amount of hot water myself! It was far away, but I want to come again 😊😊

Poring Hot Spring is a blissful escape into nature’s embrace. Even though it was raining, we still managed to get our legs soaked! Soaking in the rejuvenating waters amidst lush greenery is a therapeutic experience. The serenity and natural beauty make it a must-visit relaxation spot.

Poring Hot SpringLocation, Ranau Sabah.Poring is named after a species of giant bamboo that grows abundantly in the area. It lies in the eastern boundaries and situated some 40km (25miles) from the Kinabalu Park Headquarters. Poring is about 400m above sea level and is dominated by the lowland forest with huge dipterocarp trees easily seen on the trails.Poring is known for its hot sulphur spring bath which was first developed by the Japanese during world war II. The hot waters of the spring are piped into open-air baths. Indoor bathtub is also available for those who preferred privacy. At Poring you could experience the breathtaking treetop walk on the 43m tall canopy walkway. Rafflesia, the largest flower in the world is one of the main attractions here.

I visited Poring Hot Springs with my family, and we all enjoyed it. The hot water was great for relaxing. It's a nice place for a family outing.

If the Kinabalu park is in the highlands, the Poring hot water pool is in the lowlands. So it really feels different, from a hilly area to a slightly valley area. This place was actually built by the Japanese colonists.
