Qikou Ancient Town, located in Qikou Town, Linxian County, Luliang City, Shanxi Province, is 48 kilometers away from Linxian County. It is named for the Datong moraine of the Yellow River and enjoys the reputation of "the first town of the Jiuqu Yellow River". It is located across the Yellow River in Shaanxi Province. The other side of the river is Shaanxi Province, from which the torrential Yellow River and the Qiushui River flow. Qikou has been a famous Shangfu town in northern China for more than 200 years from the Qianlong reign of the Qing Dynasty to the outbreak of the Anti-Japanese War. Linking Shaanxi, Gansu, Ningxia, Inner Mongolia, Taiyuan, Beijing and Tianjin in the west, almost attracted half of the Chinese businessmen and became the hub of economic and cultural exchanges between East and West. According to the inscription of the Qingdaoguang Year in Heilongmiao, there are more than 20 stores, regardless of the sporadic vendors. In the meantime, rafts shuttle in the Yellow River and camel bells echo in the valleys. Businessmen gather, shops stand, street lights, brilliant day and night, endless, filled with dissatisfaction, is the so-called "drought dock small city, the first town of the Yellow River in Jiuqu".
