Qiongzhou Strait is between the Leizhou Peninsula in Guangdong Province and Hainan Province, about 80 kilometers in length, narrow in the north and south, and the maximum width is 39.5 kilometers. It is one of the three major straits in China and the traffic throat of Hainan Island connecting the mainland.
