excellent museum full of rich historical exhibits! a must see for fans of Dutch history, particularly it’s colonial period.

This is the most beautiful museum I’ve been to in the Netherlands! I encourage you take the entire day on exploring the different parts of this huge decadent museum!

Great display of impressive paintings, everything is neat and tidy, and has a decently stocked shop. It’s easily accessible from almost everywhere in Amsterdam. The main drawbacks: the security people at the entrance were super rude, snappy, and not helping at all; most people were entering the museum already frowning; the layout/navigation: there’s a noticeable lack of basic information on where to go, where you are, etc.

Definitely a place worth visiting if you’re a big fan of Rembrandt. It is also nice to appreciate the building itself no matter you go in or not❤️

Rijksmuseum is the only thing and place that has resembled the country’s historic museum and cultural heritage in the world.

This Rijksmuseum is the most important part of touring the city and it contains historic art and architecture of ancient times.
