After roaming around the Vatican for a couple of hours -- checking out the shops and getting our bearings for the next day of tours, we stopped into this little street-side restaurant for dinner. Mostly because they wanted us to so badly! There were a score of places to choose from, but they were out on the street beckoning diners to come visit. So we did. We had really good food -- priced a lot more than we had been paying outside of Rome, but what are you going to do? We had pasta, of course. It was hearty. It was good. It tasted pretty much like all the other pasta we'd had for the last two weeks in Italy. Compared to the spot we stopped the next day, it was fabulous.

    4/5Excellent

We stayed at a bnb close by and this was our regular stop between the metro and "home". The cocktails are nice the coffee is good. The "free" food during happy hour is ok albeit somewhat burned from time to time. Sit outside though inside is a bit boring!

After a hectic morning and part of the afternoon at the Vatican Museums, we strolled a bit to the north to get out of the tourist vortex. Restaurant Ritrovo La Dolce Vita offers food and drink and also a couple of outdoor tables to recover from the hectic and intense visit to the Vatican Museums. Latte macchiato and sandwiches are of good quality; prices are moderate taking into account the close distance to a tourist hot spot. You can do worse than taking a pause at Ritrovo La Dolce Vita.
