The Chicago River has a bad reputation for its polluted past, but the city has taken great strides to clean it up. They've also done a lot of work to make the riverwalk an appealing destination, and it's one of my favorite spots downtown. I especially love hanging out in the park near State Street, where you can sit and look up at the Trump Tower. Hang out here long enough and you'll see skateboarders, parkour practitioners, and maybe a bridal party getting photographed.

5/5OutstandingOne of my favorite places in Chicago! The Riverwalk is very well maintained, and the night view is very beautiful. There are some bars that you can sit down the enjoy the view. It can get crowded during summer (but was closed temporarily due to COVID). On one side is the great view of the art projection on Merchandise Mart, and if you continue walking toward the lake, it can get pretty close to navy pier (still requires some additional walking, but wouldn’t be too far). St Patrick’s day will be very fun to see the green river! maw mandi dulu ah
