Sedlec Ossuary Review

From the outside, the church is nothing but a humble Gothic building, while the interior is a small church decorated with 40,000 human bones. As soon as you enter the church, you feel the chill of the sun, the countless bones stacked together, a white flower. In fact, the Catholic Church considers death a sacred thing, and believes that the death of the body to God symbolizes the supreme praise. The skull and thigh bones are worn in a row across the domed ceiling, like a scary Christmas decoration, and the central chandelier contains at least every bone in the human body. In the corner of the chapel were four huge pyramids of bones, altars decorated with bone crosses, and even a bone-based Schwarzenberg family emblem.
