The night market is definitely one of the better ones in China.   I liked the fact that you can see people making/'drawing the actual stuff in front of you.  Prices are very reasonable but negotiation is tough. Tons of food options but be prepared to stand in line. This night market is busy.  But so worth it You can also get caricatures and temporary tattoos.  Come 10pm or later as thats when it really comes alive

    4/5Excellent

We went to Shazhou Market around 1pm. Looked like people were at sightseeing spots so the market was quite empty. There are many stalls and shops selling foods, noodle, freshly made snacks, dried snacks, household stuff, souvenirs, etc. We ate in one of the restaurants there and foods tasted good at reasonable price. The number of shops there and the amount of foods they prepare shows that there are many tourists visiting everyday. We. entered from one small entrance having many students coming home from school and this entrance signage might not be noticed.

Great to do at night, it's alive with the vibrant colors and artifacts for sale. Including the food both at the restaurants and the food stalls. Check it out for yourself! It's the best place to get souvenirs

nice market, but be careful of this one noodle shop, they lie about what meat they give you. luckily I understand Chinese because they told me it was beef noodle soup, but it was actually donkey meat. it’s the small noodle shop that is off the Main Street under one of those free standing little shops. I asked the guy if the meat was beef and he answered in English that it is beef, and I confirmed in Chinese as well, but then other Chinese people asked him the same question and they said it wasn’t beef but donkey meat. I highly suggest only eating at the restaurants on the Main Street or do veggie because you might get something that you didn’t want to eat, I actually think it’s a big joke for them to see if they can con foreigners into eating donkey. no judgment if that is what your into, but not cool about not being upfront about it.
