Daiyue Temple, also known as Data Temple, is located in the south of Taishi Mountain, 6 kilometers northwest of Dengfeng County. It was originally a palace away from the Northern Wei royal family and later converted into a Buddhist temple. On August 1, 2010, UNESCO listed China's Dengfeng "In the World" historical complex as a world cultural heritage, including the Daiyue Temple Tower, the oldest existing Miyue-style brick tower in China, built in Zhengguang, Northern Wei, in 523 AD.
