St. Martin's Cathedral began as a cathedral in 1452, but it took nearly two centuries to complete the Gothic church. In the 16th century, when Bratislava became the capital of Hungary, the church was used as a place for coronation, where 11 Hungarian kings and eight queens were crowned from 1563 to 1830. St. Martin's is Bratislava's most famous church, once a fortress of Bratislava, a Gothic building full of mystery. The church looks not gorgeous, the European church is gorgeous and exquisite, compared to the feeling of the church is relatively simple, it is estimated that many kings and queens have been crowned here to make it famous.
