Guoqing Temple was built in the Sui Dynasty. It was the birthplace of Tiantai Sect founded by Master Zhiyi. There were many eminent monks gathered here in history, which had far-reaching influence overseas. Jianzhen once worshipped Guoqing Temple during his eastward journey. Both Japan and Korea respected Guoqing Temple of Tiantai Mountain in Zhejiang as their ancestral court. Guoqing Temple is surrounded by ancient trees, elegant environment, a river at the entrance, a stone bridge in the Tang Dynasty, across the stone bridge, writing that the shadow wall side of the Sui Dynasty ancient temple is the entrance of Guoqing Temple.
