Wang Zhen Statue Review

Before the Military Reclamation Museum in Shihezi City, General Wang Zhen opened up the Nanniwan Anti-Japanese Base Area in the early period of the Anti-Japanese War, launched a sensational large-scale production campaign, and later entered Xinjiang, making great contributions to the stable development of Xinjiang in the motherland.

Located in the middle of the south end of the Recreation Square in the center of Shihezi City. The main body of the statue faces the north side, consisting of the bronze-cast General Wang Zhen's body and a granite rock war horse. The whole statue is8.5 meters high. Under the base is the four golden characters "General Wang Zhen" engraved with Deng Xiaoping's handwriting. The whole sculpture is a combination of bronze and stone, the main and the subdivision is clearly integrated, and the power is spectacular. General Wang Zhen in the sculpture is full of spirit, smiling, standing on a high slope and looking up. Its image was taken from the moment of General Wang Zhen's on-site survey in Shihezi in the early 1950s. The sculptor arranged a Hummer next to the general according to his historical and artistic conception, which was not only a natural portrayal of the general's horse riding survey at that time. It is also an artistic symbol of the general's career. In the handling of human-horse relations, the riding posture is not used to show the general's approachable style and his life from the battlefield to the peaceful production process.
